4 MIND BLOWING FACTS ABOUT THE MIND




WHICH PART OF THE BODY CONSISTS OF THE MIND?


We do not know which part of the body holds our mind, yet when there is a “Change Of Mind” why does the whole body then act accordingly? Let us decode this mysterious mind!

1) MIND IS NOT BRAIN!


We often confuse mind with the brain. Mind is an energy whereas the brain is an organ.

Mind in fact, is a beautiful blend of our Perception, Judgement, Thoughts, Memory, Language, etc.

It is when these factors work in harmony, the mind is said to be stable and enlightened.




2) YOUR MIND DECIDES YOUR BEHAVIOUR.


Yes! You might be one of those stoic personalities or actors who can fake their behaviour in a bad mental state too. While this sounds easy, it is pretty much not true. Your everyday behaviour which basically constitutes you and your personality is affected and highly influenced by your mind.


THOUGHTS are a by-product of your MIND. Consequently, THOUGHTS control your BEHAVIOUR.


So, if you ever want to ‘behave yourself’ just get to the roots and calm your mind!

3) WHEN YOUR MIND IS UPSET,

TREAT IT LIKE ANY OTHER DISEASE!


Ever experienced a bad diarrhoea or a stomach upset? In such cases, do you hog on street food or cold drinks? Absolutely Not! Instead we all tend to consume bitter medicines to make us feel better.


This is exactly how you must treat your upset mental state! When you cannot control the flow of negative thoughts, or are suffering from overthinking, you are nothing but in a state of mental diarrhoea.



The only way you must treat it is by switching your junk media with good positive and motivational information as well as people. Surround yourself with people and media that make you mindful and contented.


NOTE! Just like you go to a doctor with an upset tummy, you need to approach an authentic therapist whenever you experience mental issues or want more clarity about mind.





4) MEDITATION DOES NOT MEAN SHUTTING DOWN YOUR THOUGHTS!



Mind is a miracle. It is a complex magnificent gift to us humans and helps us top the evolution chart. Why stop such an efficient tool?


When you have a back pain, you treat it and not throw away your spine. Similarly, when we meditate, we need to align our thoughts and focus it on our inner self.


Next time you meditate, try visualizing your goals and simply centre your thought onto it. Manage, organise, align your thoughts. Do not get rid of them!


MEDITATION TIP:-

Be aware of your being, be aware of your breath and be aware of your inner self. Become mindful of all aspects while meditating and you’ll see the magic.

Rise your eyeballs at a 20 degree position with eyes closed during meditation to ignite the alpha waves!



CONCLUSION

Embrace the very boon of human life which is the mind. Let’s not kill our thoughts but instead design them and channelize them into something extraordinary! Let us strive to be mindful in every activity we do. We tend to waste the precious energy of mind by engaging it in the miseries of past or the expectations of future. Let us for a change, utilize the very proficiency of mind in the present. Who knows what surprises will our own mind blow us with!
